Phoenix Convention Center Expansion, Phoenix, AZ
Arizona's unique natural geological formations and historic man-made structures are the inspiration for the new North Building of the Phoenix Convention Center Expansion. This 1.5 million square foot, four-level center includes exhibition areas, meetings rooms, ballroom, catering kitchen, food court, and associated support spaces replacing the existing building. The patron's experience of this vital downtown Phoenix amenity includes natural daylight for below grade spaces, outdoor meeting rooms, integrated public art, and a water harvesting garden. Ultimately, this expansion is a response to the market demands and the desire to continue economic growth for Arizona and the Valley of the Sun.
As the Program Manager, Pfocus provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management for Phase 2 of this expansion. Actively facilitating decisions among key Project Team Members such as the City of Phoenix, Phoenix Convention Center, Design Team, and Construction Team is the critical mission. Key efforts consist of interactively achieving the programmatic, cost, and time objectives.
