Tempe Center for the Arts, Tempe, AZ

The Tempe Performing Arts Center is envisioned as a vibrant gathering place for regional performing and visual arts. This 88,000 square foot center features a 600-seat main theater, 250-seat studio theater, multi-purpose room and visual arts gallery.

This Center forms a crossroads for performing arts and park activities: framing scenic vistas, integrating pedestrian connections to a new riverfront park, and reflecting the important cultural traditions of the City of Tempe.

The Center’s prominent location on the waterfront provides an attractive gathering place for use by families and other visitors of all ages. The rich materials palette and welcoming public spaces emphasize the Center’s role as both an attractive and inclusive enterprise.

From the project’s inception and selection of the Design Team through the four year design process, project management services included the leadership to establish consensus based goals amongst numerous stakeholders and effective management to achieve those goals.
